This morning in Sunday School, the youth explored what it takes to build a strong tower.
Due to the falling snow and the forecast of more to come, we are cancelling all services and activities, including Youth Fellowship, tomorrow, Sunday, January 13th. Please join us at 11:15 Sunday morning as we livestream a home worship experience on the GSUMC Facebook page.

The youth made sandwiches for the Night in Bethlehem volunteers.
Wesley and Chanse, and their mother Toni, are ringing the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle bell at Sam's Club on this rainy morning.
Come join us at 3pm Sunday to prepare sandwiches for the Night in Bethlehem volunteers, and stay if you are able to help with set-up, to portray characters, and to help with cleanup.
The Good Shepherd youth created bushes (or are they shrubs?) for a Night in Bethlehem. Come join us Sunday, December 16, 6-8pm, for an evening featuring live animals and an interactive "market" for people of all ages.
A visit to the Ellipse to see the National Christmas Tree.
CHANGE IN TIME - CHANGE IN PLANS We will meet in the narthex at 4 pm, Sunday, December 2, and take the white transit van into DC to visit THE NATIONAL CHRISTMAS TREE. The time of our return will depend on traffic, but we will aim for arriving in the church parking lot at 6:30 pm. Be sure to dress for the weather.
The youth did a great job leading worship this morning, describing their mission trip to Camden, New Jersey and exploring the text "Faith without works is dead."
